Day 23

30th September 2010

Preparing to bake.

My fiance is 30 tomorrow so today I baked him a cake. I love to bake (nearly as much as I love my shiny, red kitchenAid) but I can’t remember the last time I baked before today (except for bread). The cake is a maple syrup and pecan bundt cake from Nigella lawson’s new cookbook kitchen, hopefully the recipe will be on my food blog (purely food) next week.

Day 21

29th September 2010

It’s was getting late, I was doing the ironing and I still hadn’t taken my shot for today. Then I noticed the light out side had a gorgeous feel to it. I opened my front door and took this shot of the rooftops opposite.

Day 20

28th September 2010

I tried out a new recipe for dinner, mushroom, garlic and thyme pasta bake. A nice autumnal dish.

Day 19

27th September 2010

Another working day, another struggle to find inspiration around my house.

A page from my fiance’s sketch book.

Day 18

26th September 2010

Today I went to Tatton park to watch my fiance run 10k for Cancer research UK. Whilst he was running I photographed this merry-go-round in the grounds. I’ve seen it a couple of times this summer and there is never anyone on it but I love the look of it.

Day 17

25th September 2010

We visited Liverpool today to see some of the art on exhibition as part of Touched – Liverpool Biennial. Theses photos are of an exhibition called Temple of a 1000 bells and each glass bell is handmade. This was the piece of art that inspired me most. I knew one of the photos would be my photo for 365 but I couldn’t select just one. I took many more photos that day so I may to a special post, separate from the 365, of our day in Liverpool soon. You can see a short video about the temple of a 1000 bells here.

Its Macro monday over at Lisa’s chaos so I’m submitting these tiny bells.

Day 16

24th September 2010

This is a ravioli cutter I received last christmas (part of a set with a round one). I still havent got round to using them! I found them in a draw whilst having a clear out last week and decided they were too pretty to be hidden away, now they sit on my kitchen windowsill.

It’s Macro Friday at Blogging From Bolivia and this is as macro as my 50mm lens lets me go.
