Project 64: out of the box – week 15 magenta (including day 217)

I took this photo of my moisturiser for this weeks colour as I don’t have a lot of pink around the house.

12th April 2011, day 217

However I thought I could do better so I pulled this photo from last month out instead.

Project 64: out of the box – week 14 burnt siena

This weeks colour for project 64 was burnt siena. I’m not sure this wood is a perfect match but its the best I could do.

Project 64: out of the box – week 13 spring green

This weeks colour for project 64 is spring green. The perfect colour for this time of year here in the uk. For once I got a photo for this weeks colour early in the week and not only that I’m really happy with the photo. I took it at my local park using my lensbaby with the +4 macro lens attached. You can see the other photos I loved from that day here.

Project 64:out of the box – week 12 tickle me pink

This weeks colour for project 64 is tickle me pink. I think these flowers are as close as I can get to this colour. I wish I could have isolated them more in the photo as it’s a little busy for my liking but I’m still pleased with the photo.

Project 64: out of the box – week 11 Scarlet

Week 11′s colour was scarlet which in a box of crayola crayons is more orange than you would expect scarlet to be. I love red and have a lot of red in my house but none of it was quiet orange enough. This is my nephew in a children’s playground. I thought the red of this tunnel was perfect for this weeks colour.

Project 64: out of the box – week 10 plum (including day 188)

This weeks colour wasn’t hard to find as I love purple. My handbag was the perfect shade of purple for plum.

This is also my photo for today (14th March 2011)

Project 64: out of the box – week 9 white

So a rather late entry this week due to computer problems. I know I’ve photographed this flower before but it was the most interesting white object in my house. I had fun playing around with my new tripod and white boards to get this shot.

Project 64: out of the box – Week 8 Lavender

This weeks colour was lavender however the lavender in a box of crayola 64 is not what you would think.  It has more of a pink tone with purple hints, instead of the pale purple color that comes to mind. I struggled with this weeks colour. I don’t have a lot of pink in my home and there’s not much in nature this colour yet here. unfortunately I have had to use a photo from my archives. I know this isn’t really in the spirit of a weekly photo challenge but I really couldn’t find anything. I can’t believe we are on week 8 already, I’m really enjoying it and want to collect all 64 colours so for that reason I have used an old photo this week.

This was taken back in September, on day 23 of my 365. I wasn’t even shooting in manual mode at this point. The sky to me has hints of the crayola 64 lavender in it.

Project 64: out of the box – Week 7 indigo

This weeks colour was indigo. Here’s my take on the colour, a stack of plates with edges as close as I could find to indigo.

Project 64: out of the box – week 6 Apricot

I really thought this would be the week I would not be able to find the colour required. I searched high and low all week. Then on saturday we were visiting my parents and as we got there my mum had just got back from shopping. She was showing me what she had bought and as luck would have it she pulled out of her bag, a pack of scented candles and one of them was as near to apricot. as I thought I could get.

I’m quiet pleased with this photo but wish I could edit out the window in the top right hand corner. I tried using the clone tool and also the spot healing brush but my limited editing skills were not enough.
